Antique c1920s redwork quilt measuring 75″ x 77″. Comprised of 16 blocks, 15.5″ x 15.5″, set straight 4 x 4, with a 6.5″ white border. It is hand embroidered, machine pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white binding by hand. Motifs include bunnies, kittens, a bear, flowers, a young girl in a heart and a “Daisies Won’t Tell” bouquet. It is in good condition with spots and storage discoloration that should soak out. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
