Vintage c1930s Washingtons Stamp Quilt measures 74×95″. It is comprised of .75″ print, orange, and brown squares and .75″ off white strips. The intricate birder mimics the solid fabric with a 1″ border of orange, brown, and off white, a pieced 1.75″ brown and orange square border, and ten another 1″ border of off white and brown. There is a wonderful library of c1930s prints, many feedsack prints. It is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted. There is an off white cotton reverse, thin cotton batting, and the end is finished with an applied peach binding. In very good condition with only minor spots. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
