Antique c1890s PA Bars Quilt – 2 Sided measures 78×88″. The first side is comprised of bars with 5 narrow strips of Lancaster blue, Chrome yellow, and Garibaldi red prints measuring 8″ wide, alternating with an 8″ wide Garibaldi red with black dot print. It is machine pieced and hand quilts. The reverse is comprised of various widths of red, green and blue fabrics. The end is finished with an applied binding of various prints. While there is no provenance, this quilt strongly reflects PA quilt characteristics. It is in very good condition with no issues noted. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
