Antique 19th Century Midnight Blue, almost black, silk faille 2 piece dress. It has long sleeves and a high neck. The top is boned for a fitted form. The wide lapels extend over the shoulder, and to the back to create a cape like look, that on the back finishes as a rosette. The collar and the hem of the top has a pleated fabric embellishment. The top closes with a series of hidden hook and eyes. The skirt has 2 loops on the inside and is lined with linen for body. The eye for the closure is missing on the skirt, minor wear to the hem edge. Constructed by hand and machine. It measures laying flat 15" bust, 22" arm, 14" waist, 19" long. Skirt waist 13", 41" long. It is in good condition, there is a small hole on the left shoulder. Please see all the photos for additional imperfections.
