Antique c1920 Colonial Revival Rose of Sharon Quilt measuring 74”x71”. Comprised of 16 blocks, about 12”x12”, set on point, 4×4, with alternating print squares and setting triangles. The same print is used for the ground of the applique blocks, which gives the motif a floating effect. There is a 6.5” triple border of cheddar, red, and white with 9 patch corners. Hand and machine pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white with blue dot reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by machine. It is in fair condition with several spots, fading, and storage line discoloration, split in the seam in the back.
