Antique c1860 Whig Rose quilt measuring 77″x 79″. It is comprised of 5 complete blocks, 22″x22″, set on point and staggered 2×2 with partial block setting triangles. There is an 8″ wide undulating vine and flower border. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off-white cotton reverse. Edge has remnants of a brown solid cotton applied binding. It is in poor condition with several spots, a torn corner, overall edge wear, a small tear and fading in the green dye to blue. This is a very intricate pattern with very good applique workmanship. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
