Vintage c1930s Star of Bethlehem Quilt from the Mary Schafer Collection. She was the quilter and collector from the book Mary Schafer – American Quilt Maker by Gwen Marston. Measures 71×87″. The star measures 63.5″x63.5″, with off white 7.5″ borders along the top and bottom, and a 2″ out border on all 4 sides. It is hand pieced and hand quilted, thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. Edge is finished with a facing with white on top and purple on the back. There is a sleeve along the top back edge for hanging. In good condition, very small spots.
