February Antique & Vintage Quilt Auction
Antique c1920s white whole cloth quilt measuring 86×98 inches. It is hand quilted with flowers, feathered wreaths, leaves, and an overall hanging diamond. Knife edge finished edge. In very good condition, there are scattered small yellow spots noticed when I shined a light through the quilt for photography purposes dark spots, they are very faded. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. There is a piece of painter’s tape on the corner of the quilt in Laura’s handwriting noting the size and that it was from PA. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures.
