Vintage 1930s Grandmother’s Pride quilt measuring 71″ x 69″. Comprised of 25 blocks 9″ x 9″, set straight 5 x 5, with a 2.5″ chambray sashing and 7″ chambray borders. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a 1930s floral print revers. The edge is finished by hand knife edge style. I believe the blocks are earlier, possibly late 19th century. It is in very good condition with just a few small spots. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
