Antique c1900 Flying Geese quilt measuring 73″ x 93″. Comprised of 30 blocks,12.5″ x 12.5″, set on point 4 x 5, with solid alternating squares and setting triangles. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and white cotton reverse and applied white fabric binding by hand and machine. In fair condition with spots, storage discoloration, edge wear, and wear to some areas of the indigo. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
