Antique c1900 Old Valiant Green Variation quilt measuring 74″ x 89″. Comprised of 42 blocks, 11.5″ x 11.5″, set straight 6 x 7, with 2.25″ black print border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and white cotton reverse. Edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. Fabrics include indigo mourning prints, shirtings, claret, garibaldi red and much more. In good condition with several small spots and quilting lines still evident. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
