Antique 19thC Silk Tumbling Blocks Medallion Style Quilt. Measures 59" x 92". Center features a black velvet octagon with hand embroidered initials T G. It is surrounded by 8 silk tumbling blocks. Machine pieced and hand embroidered and appliqued against a machine quilted green silk ground. The center is framed with a 1.5" burgundy silk inner frame, a 2.5" green frame and a varied width black frame. The perimeter of the tumbling blocks is hand embroidered as is the inner frame. Edges are finished with a black binding. While this is a completed piece, there are exposed seams on the back. In fair condition with small spots and some deterioration to the black silk and others in several areas. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
