Description
3 Vintage Bogolan Cloths – Mali. Three vintage mud cloths from Mali. Bogolan cloth, 38″ x 57″, dark brown with white blocks of circles, lines, zigzags, and triangles; the panels are sewn together, with some seams loosening. Good condition. Handwoven indigo-dyed mud cloth, 39″ x 61″, with squares of varying sizes; some blue areas have faded to a yellowish white, and there is a rip in one panel. Hand-dyed brown strip-cloth mud cloth by the Bamana people, 35″ x 48″, with bars of black lines and arrows. Some fading; good condition.
