Antique c1850s silk Hexagon Garden Quilt made by ladies in a Louisville, KY church it comes from the Richardson and Anderson families of Louisville, KY. It measures 76in x 85in with 4 8in tassels. It is meticulously hand pieced and hand embroidered. The hand embroidery is exquisite over silk and velvet fabrics and includes made names/signatures, 1855 and 1856, as well as botanical elements. Some elements were specialty cut from woven jacquard silk embroidered fabrics. Made in Louisville Ky around 1857. The back is a red silk machine pre quilted fabric. The quilting lines are not even, which makes me believe that this backing fabric was not commercially made, but rather someone at home with a very new machine. Glossy Neon Tiger with Blue Interference. "A stunning horse that makes you want to go grab your leg warmers and jam out to some 80’s rock! This rendition of Ruffian, Breyer mold #597, has been done as a glossy neon tiger with blue interference. This guy is ready to rock his way into your herd! It is a Breyer test color and was hand-decorated at Breyer Animal Creations, a division of Reeves International, Inc., in Pequannock, New Jersey.”

This stunning c1890s Log Cabin Quilt or Comfort is in a Barn Raising Pattern. It measures 89×89 inches. It consists of 196 blocks, 6.25×6.25 inches and set 14 by 14. Each has a red center surrounded by 1/2 inch logs. Many logs have been specialty cut along their stripes. Very nice workmanship on this quilt. Fabrics include indigos, shirtings, cheddar, chrome yellow, claret, Garibaldi reds, double pinks, a few mourning prints, and a large variety of browns. It is hand pieced and hand tacked, NOT quilted. The reverse is a lovely double pink print. Unusual, please note, the 1 inch ruffled edge along all four sides of the quilt. There is a paper stitched to the front of the quilt stating the quilt was intended for "one of the Bacon girls, Made by My Mother". This quilt was part of Laura Fisher’s estate, found in her apartment, and was meticulously kept. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. Antique Victorian Era Album quilt measuring 62 by 63.5 inches, consisting of 9 blocks, set 3 by 3, measuring 16.25 inches by 16.25 inches. Quilt was published in The Quilt Digest in 1987. It was made in Montgomery County, Maryland, now Silver Spring, Maryland and made by Amanda Collinsgru. Fabrics include silk, satin and velvet. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, hand stuffed to the max, hand appliqued, and hand quilted in large overall clamshell motifs. This is true masterpiece is women’s hand work in a folk art style. Antique 1854 Hand Colored Fraktur – Bucks County PA measures 15 inches by 18 inches, framed. Printed and sold by Blumer, Bush & Co of Allentown, PA, this is a Certificate of Birth and Baptism for Mary Ellen Sigafoos, daughter of William Sigafoos and Sary Barbara. The previous owner has started to do genealogical research and has included that in the back of the frame. The proceeds to the sale of this piece is being donated to the Endowment Fund of the American Quilt Study Group. In good condition. The paper has some loss and foxing. Antique Asian black silk hand embroidered robe. Measures 43 inches long from collar to hem, 16 inches across the shoulders, and 27 inch long sleeves. Hand embroidered flowers, butterflies, fish and more in satin stitch and forbidden stitch. Elaborate collar and sleeve fans. All embroidery is executed by hand. Garment construction is by hand and machine. Three frog closures down the front. Lining is a blue damask silk. In good condition with some small spots. Silk is shattering at the shoulders. Antique Victorian Silk Crazy quilt measuring 45 inches by 64 inches. Several fans are positioned about the piece. Nice variety of hand embroidered stitches, appliqued elements, and lovely hand embroidered and plush flowers in the corners of the burgundy velvet border. Antique c1870s red and green quilt is a variation of a Thistle pattern. It measures 76 inches by 93 inches. In the center is hand embroidered A.M.E. 1859. There are 20 blocks 16 inches by 16 inches, set straight, 4 by 5 with a 6 inch triple strip white and red border. Fabrics are a double process solid green cotton and solid turkey red cotton. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. White solid backing with thin cotton batting. Back is brought to the front to finish the narrow edge. Antique Quilt – c1910 Red and White Everlasting Tree: 81in x 80in. Hand and machine pieced; hand quilted with triple cable motif along the bars and to the piece of each triangle. Red and white cotton solid fabrics. Off white backing. Thin cotton batting. Applied white cotton binding on grain.

Antique Linen Tablecloth, measuring 66 x 118 inches, featuring filet lace edge and center, drawn work, hand embroidery with small needle lace insert, includes 12 matching napkins, set was found in original box from Max Littwitz Inc., New York, NY, set has never been used, but does have storage discoloration and a small spot, napkins are still wrapped in original pink ribbons, box included if desired, box is in poor condition. Antique Jute with Feathers rug or mat measuring 34.5 inches by 33 inches. Geometric checkerboard pattern is executed with colorful feathers woven into the jute: orange, brown, yellow, and off white.
